Please find below a statement from Graham Gould, Chairman of Thermal Recycling,
“The scale and speed at which the Coronavirus has hit all of us is startling. We are all now facing existential issues that we never imagined facing. It will be a long time before things get back to normal and by then normal may well be somewhat different to the normal before the crisis.
“Having now proven during our commissioning tests that we can denature roof sheets containing chrysotile asbestos we had been working towards fully opening our plant in April. We will definitely be opening our plant as soon as possible but given the impact of the Coronavirus, it is now impossible to predict the date when this will happen.
We are constantly reviewing developments in this fast-changing environment. Our decisions are driven by the health and well being of our team and everyone with whom we are working. We will provide an update regarding our plans when the overall situation become clearer.
In the meantime, it is essential that we all follow the advice of the government and we act individually and collectively in a way that is best for our community.”
